International Brotherhood of Teamsters General President Sean O'Brien attended the Teamsters Local 500 Shop Steward Seminar which was held on October 17, 2025 at Teamsters Local 107 Ball Room.  He spoke about the importance of the Shop Steward position in the Union and that we should be promoting the Union with positive comments and actions to the general public.  He also mentioned the importance of organizing and the responsibility that all Teamsters have to promote the Union.  He also noted the importance of Unity amongst ourselves and unity of purpose to oppose corporate billionaires who profit off of the hard work of blue collar workers but refuse to acknowledge the workers importance to the Companies they work for by offering good wages and benefits.
